Chris King and Steve Voelkel started Corporate Sports in 1995.The main focus of the company at
this time was on embroidered goods and promotional items.
That year,
they purchased their first 6 head embroidery machine and began
production out of a single car garage in Crofton, MD. Eighteen months
later, they hired their first employee.
Less than two years into the new
venture, Corporate Sports moved out of the garage and into 1,800 square
foot space in Gambrills, MD. Within two years the company began its own
silk screening department and leased another 1,800 square feet.
By
2004, Corporate Sports had outgrown the leased space and they purchased
and moved into a 7,000 square foot manufacturing facility located in
Millersville, Maryland. This is where they are currently located right
off I-97 and route 32 half way between Annapolis and Baltimore.
Look for
us as you head south on Rt. 97. You can see the Corporate Sports
building as you approach the Rt. 3 exit ramp that takes you to Crofton
and points south.
